Context: In much the same way the Babylonians overthrew the Assyrians, the Persians soon conquered the remnants of Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom (Daniel 5). During that time, Haman, a Persian official, tried to kill the exiled Jewish people.

Scripture Reading: Esther 7:1-10

Big Idea:  God used Esther and Mordecai to exalt and protect the Jewish people in the midst of their persecution; his plans for Israel could not be thwarted.

Application: God’s plans for our lives cannot be undone or destroyed, even by the most powerful individuals in the world.

The Gospel Story is a year long message series and groups discussion that will take our church on a chronological and inspiring journey through God’s Word.

From Genesis to Revelation, “The Gospel Story” outlines the narrative of God’s wondrous work of salvation history. The entire Bible, from the Garden of Eden to “a new heaven and a new earth,” speaks of Jesus.

This message series shares the story of Christ, providing biblical context and important applications along the way. History is not about us, but the God of history can use us to fulfill his grand, universal plan.

This Series Is Divided Into Five Sections

On Sundays Pastor Dusty will introduce the scripture and theme for the week.

On Wednesdays our groups will discuss the previous Sundays scripture and message. All ages and stages will be together. We’ll begin at 6:30 PM with a review of Sunday then have breakout groups chosen randomly.

Silver Seniors will meet for group discussion at 5:00 PM at Andy and Heidi Carter's house.

Our kids that meet on Wednesday nights will discuss the previous Sunday mornings scripture and message.

Our Middle and High School students that meet on Sunday nights will discuss Sunday mornings scripture and message.
